Have you tried gouache? I have fell in love with the art medium. It's similar to watercolor but it's very opaque. I like to use the Holbein Gouache paint, 140 lb Hot Pressed watercolor paper by Legion, and love the Winsor and Newton Series 7 watercolor brushes.
